Esther 1–10 → A complete account of Esther’s life, from her selection as queen to her intercession for God’s people.

This book reveals how God can use a woman in the midst of a hostile environment to protect His people. Although God’s name is not explicitly mentioned in the text, His providence guides every decision and every turn in the story.

🌿 Introduction

In times of danger and silence, God raised up a woman to intercede with courage. Esther was chosen as queen in a foreign land, and though her identity was hidden, her purpose was divine. Her story teaches us that courage doesn’t always shout—sometimes it speaks through fasting, prayer, and wise words at just the right moment.

👑 Her story

Esther was a young Jewish woman raised by her cousin Mordecai. When King Xerxes sought a new queen, Esther was chosen for her beauty and grace. Without revealing her heritage, she lived in the palace until a threat arose against her people: Haman, a royal official, planned to exterminate the Jews.

Mordecai asked her to intercede before the king. Esther hesitated, knowing that approaching without being summoned could cost her life. But after fasting and seeking guidance, she chose to go. With wisdom, she arranged banquets and exposed Haman’s wickedness. The king listened, and the people were saved.

Esther was not only a queen: she was an intercessor, a strategist, and a woman of faith. Her courage changed the destiny of a nation.

✨ What it teaches us

Esther leaves us with profound lessons:

  • God prepares key moments: Her position was not accidental, but part of a divine plan.
  • Silence can be strategic: She kept her identity hidden until the right moment.
  • Intercession requires courage: She risked her life out of love for her people.
  • Faith is expressed through action: She fasted, planned, and spoke with wisdom.

💬 For reflection

Are you willing to intercede for others, even if it costs you? Do you recognize the purpose behind your current position? How can you use your influence to protect and bless?
